My passion is woodblock printing, it’s quite a traditional form of relief printing using wood as your plate and wash i ( Japanese papers) to create a print. My work is shaped by the close link to my surrounding environment and landscape here in Cornwall and both are integral to my artwork. My work is loosely interested in botanical and floral themes. I’m fascinated by Japanese aesthetics and subtlety of woodblock print making. I aspire to make contemporary woodblock prints with a focus on traditional methods."
