Another Shed Production
My work reflects the ruggedness and beauty of coastal living.
Robust and functional, my belts are made to be worn every day, to spark conversation and embrace the beauty and simplicity of traditional crafts.
Combining British leather with selected metal recovered from a WWII Liberty ship SS James Eagan Layne and the River Tamar. Each buckle is individually forged to expose the metals patina and its former life under the sea. I hand cut, burnish and stitch each belt to fit its new buckle. Each one unique with its own story.
Other work includes hand cut, stitched and finished British leather pouches. Fire pokers from Shipwreck metal (SS James Eagan Layne) set in Oak driftwood.
