Silver by the Sea

Katherine Priest (Silver by the Sea) is a local jeweller, she has been established since 2014 on the Harbour Arm, Margate. She studied her craft in silversmithing and goldsmithing at UCA Rochester, Kent; and then specialised her hand skills and professional practice at Bishopsland Workshops in Berkshire. Katherine's collections have been exhibited nationally. Gleaning inspirations from the coastline, Katherine selects sand, shells and sea glass from the beach. By adopting a traditional sand casting technique, Katherine has incorporated these pieces into her hand-crafted, sterling silver creations. Katherine also creates quirky framed seaglass pictures as well as seaglass greetings cards.
