Marion Carbis
Marion lives on the north coast of Cornwall on the far side of St Ive's Bay, ‘where you will find 3 miles of golden sand and awesome surf.’
She is addicted to needle felting and has turned a hobby into a genuine cottage industry. While working for the NHS she completed her BA Hons. Degree specialising in Art History with a bit of Psychology on the side.
She has always been inspired by nature and the countryside around her. She started in 2013 and is really excited to turn something she loves into a full-time career. She uses wool from various breeds of sheep and uses a needle and wet felting techniques to sculpt three-dimensional designs. Through the nature of the medium; each creation is one of a kind. Marion loves the tactile and therapeutic nature of working with wool. Improving mood and cognitive function are just a few of the ways that crafts can improve your wellbeing. She teaches and runs classes under the name 'Stargazey Crafts' and will be offering a workshop at Breeze Fair 2019 in the Walled Garden, Education Tent.
