St Ives Society of Artists
Founded in 1927, St Ives Society of Artists began with many famed Royal Academicians as members and to which came the notable British Post War artists Barbara Hepworth, Ben Nicholson and Peter Lanyon among others. The Society took ownership of a large historic former church set within the fishing community’s cottages and pilchard cellars, which it transformed into two distinctive galleries, Mariners Gallery and The Crypt. Today, our spectrum of professional artists present a broad range of 2D and 3D contemporary artworks.
